Highlight¶
A see-through marker for text: go over a line as often as you like and the words underneath stay readable.
Using it¶
Click the Highlight slot (just right of the Brush) and drag over the text.
- Strokes of the highlighter do not get darker where they cross or where you go over them again — the coverage stays even, like a good marker.
- The colour multiplies with what is underneath, so dark text stays dark and the page shows through.
- In each layer, highlights sit behind your ink strokes: underline a word in pen, highlight it afterwards, and the pen line stays on top.
Middle-drag left or right changes its size, as with the brush.
Highlight Properties¶
Right-click the Highlight slot.

The highlighter has its own colour, separate from the brush's: set it here, not on the ring.
In class
Use a light yellow at 40 – 60 % for text, and a stronger colour at the same opacity for a second kind of mark — vocabulary in yellow, key dates in green.
